News from the Legislative Session - January 10, 2008

Today in the Legislature

The Legislature was back in session today. Bills were introduced again this morning and the bills that were introduced yesterday were referenced to the appropriate committee for hearing. In Nebraska, each bill that is introduced has a committee hearing. Senators can introduce legislation until January 23rd which is the tenth day of the session.

Again, all of the bills that were not acted on last year, carry over to this session. To search the list of bills introduced for any day this session, you can visit the Nebraska Legislature's website by clicking here.

You will have to scroll down to Day 2 in 2008 to see the one line description of bills introduced this session.
