Today in the Legislature
I apologize that I will not have time tonight to write more tonight about today's activities. There were a number of bills that were non-controversial that advanced to Select File and a bill dealing with Jail House Informants that advanced, but with some opposition. We ended the day on LB 632 which would codify the existing practice that the animal identification program administered by the Department of Agriculture is a voluntary program. It always has been and will continue to be in Nebraska. No vote was taken on the bill as we ran right up to the noon recess.
